Pastoral Care
Our students live and learn together - and love it. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, welcoming environment for all students, regardless of their background, interests or abilities.
Ryan has developed a strong pastoral care programme. We are committed to providing support and personal care for our students. The use of first names by all members of our community helps to build strong personal relationships.
Pastoral Care Teachers and Pastoral Leaders monitor the personal development of students and provide active support. Pastoral Care Teachers are responsible for the general pastoral care of the students in their group and provide an initial point of contact for any concerns.
Pastoral Leaders have overall pastoral concern for the social and academic development of all students in their year level, including monitoring the progress of individual students where required. Our Deputy Principal - Mission and Culture and out Deputy Principal - Junior Campus, lead and support their teams.
The College provides the services of a team of Counsellors across P-12. Our Pastoral Care Team also includes a College Chaplain, Defence Transition Mentors and Indigenous Education Team who together ensure the best of Pastoral Care across a wide range of areas.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land and waters, the Wulgurukaba, and that this country has been a place of learning and ceremony for tens of thousands of years. We also acknowledge the neighbouring language groups as brothers and sisters of the land. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. May we walk gently and peacefully on this land together.
