Chaplain
The Chaplain works to create opportunities for faith development of students and advance the religious life of the college community.
The Chaplain at Ryan Catholic College plays a critical role in the development and well-being of students by providing safe and positive mentoring. They offer guidance and support to young people as they navigate through the challenges of adolescence, helping them to build resilience, self-esteem, and confidence. Chaplains work closely with students, parents, and staff to provide a range of services that cater to the diverse needs of the school community.
By offering support to students, chaplains contribute to the religious ethos and charism of the College. They provide a visible and tangible expression of the College's Catholic identity, helping to create a sense of belonging and community. Chaplains work to foster a culture of respect, love, and compassion, which aligns with the values of the Catholic faith.
Ryan Catholic College chaplain operates as part of the school student pastoral support team. They work alongside the Parish and leadership to provide holistic support to young people. Chaplains collaborate with teachers and other school staff to promote positive mental health and well-being, provide spiritual guidance, and facilitate opportunities for students to grow in their faith.
Our College Chaplain is Jarrod Bell and he can be contacted via the main office.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land and waters, the Wulgurukaba, and that this country has been a place of learning and ceremony for tens of thousands of years. We also acknowledge the neighbouring language groups as brothers and sisters of the land. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. May we walk gently and peacefully on this land together.
