Principals' Welcome
Welcome to Ryan Catholic College
Ryan, as we are often referred, provides a Catholic education for both boys and girls from Prep to Year 12 on two campuses (Prep to Year 4 and Years 5 to 12). Our students are offered a diverse curriculum in modern, well-equipped facilities.
Ryan Catholic College was established in 1979 and has as its foundational story the well-known "Journey to Emmaus" story from the Gospel of Luke about the recognition of Jesus being with us on our journey. The theme of "journey" is one that is embraced by the College and is a fine metaphor for portraying the growth that all people experience in developing their spirituality, intellect, physical and social capabilities and wisdom.
Although the College is relatively young, it has an enviable reputation for providing an education which results in graduates who are well rounded young people. Academic excellence is sought and achieved within a broad education, with multiple pathways for students to attain their goals. Ryan is always striving to be an inclusive school.
The staff members at Ryan Catholic College have a deep commitment to providing a meaningful education within a Catholic environment for our students.
We have high expectations of our students in their relationships with one another and staff. Respect and good manners are cornerstones of these standards. Students are expected to take responsibility as ambassadors for their College.
We invite you to explore the various attributes of our College. If there is more you would like to find out, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the College through the contacts made available in these pages.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land and waters, the Wulgurukaba, and that this country has been a place of learning and ceremony for tens of thousands of years. We also acknowledge the neighbouring language groups as brothers and sisters of the land. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. May we walk gently and peacefully on this land together.
